These clinics are a great way for players to keep their skills sharp over the summer and prepare for club tryouts. Age groups will be split up to present the best individual coaching. Coaches will focus on all skills during these clinics and incorporate some live game play as well.

JUNE & JULY - AGE GROUP CLINICS

GJNC ends Thursday, July 11th / Evaluation window (TRYOUTS): July 13th - July 16th, 2024
Acceptance/Signing Date is July 16th (you do not have to be in town to accept)
Tryouts will begin Saturday, July 13th
Tryouts for remaining spots/teams: July 13th & Beyond (tryouts will continue until teams are full)

LIBERO ACADEMY JUNE TBD
Dallas Premier’s Libero Academy is designed for athletes entering grades 7-12 and is ideal for athletes who already have identified themselves as a libero or defensive specialist and want to improve on specific skills or outside hitters that need to get those passing reps in to become a six rotation player. This position-specific academy will focus on passing and defensive techniques. These include but are not limited to forearm passing, overhead passing, digging, and responsibilities. Academy space is limited, so sign up soon!
SETTER ACADEMY JUNE TBD
All participants of the Setters Academy will be provided with beginner to elite training. As well as the comprehensive and technical training they need to be the leader of their teams. Setters will be placed in a group where they will be challenged.
All participants will be instructed in the basics of the setting position. This will include footwork, hand position, release, as well as setting tempo. Participants will work on location, accuracy, consistency, and decision-making. While all participants will learn the same foundation of setting, they may also learn more advanced techniques such as jump setting, reading the block to hold opposing middle blockers, and game strategy.
HITTER ACADEMY JUNE TBD
Dallas Premier’s Hitter Academy is designed for athletes entering grades 7-12 and is ideal for athletes who already have identified themselves as a pin hitter or middle hitter and want to improve on specific skills. This position-specific academy will focus on attacking and passing techniques for outside hitters and attacking, blocking and transition for middle blockers. These skills will also include forearm and overhead passing, digging, as well as serving. Athletes will also learn a variety of systems and styles that help them with their relationships on the court.
All camps and clinics will be held at the Premier Volleyball Center. [Directions]
